William J. Bossi, FSA, MAAA, has 35+ years of insurance experience in a variety of actuarial and management roles. Prior to establishing Disability Insurance Specialists, LLC in 1996 he worked as an independent consultant providing management and strategic advice to disability carriers. Bill was SVP and CFO of Monarch Life and later EVP managing the company’s disability insurance line of $150 million of annual premium. He also served on the Monarch Life Insurance Company Board of Directors. Prior to joining Monarch, Bill served as VP and Corporate Actuary for Connecticut Mutual and had 10 years of experience in a variety of actuarial assignments with Connecticut General\CIGNA.

Tad Verney, FSA, MAAA, has 35+ years of insurance experience in a variety of actuarial and financial roles, including 7 years in divisional CFO roles. Prior to establishing DIS, he worked as an independent actuarial consultant, primarily as financial officer for Connecticut Mutual Insurance Company’s disability income line of business. His work experience includes 17 years at CIGNA covering a broad range of disciplines including strategy development, product design and pricing, financial reporting, valuation, and financial controls. Mr. Verney’s most recent positions at CIGNA were CFO of the CIGNA Healthcare National Service Operation, and CFO of CIGNA Re, the life and health reinsurance division of CIGNA.

George Davidson, CLU, ChFC, RHU, CLTC, DIA, entered the financial services industry in 1982 and, motivated by a desire to offer financial professionals an ethical resource for income protection strategies and products, founded Secura Consultants in 1995 and is also proud to be an original founding partner of The Plus Group. Secura Consultants is now recognized as a national leader in the industry. In 2013, George was honored to receive the W.H. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award from the International DI Society. He is a frequent speaker at industry events across the country such as the Million Dollar Roundtable and the LIMRA DI & LTC Insurers Forum. George is a graduate of Appalachian State University.
